Play one of the classic sandbox grand theft auto Vice City
Grand Theft Auto Vice City takes place in the 1980s, an era influenced by Miami’s neon art style in a sandbox action-adventure game. The game is also available for Windows, iPhone, and Mac.
The story of Grand Theft Auto Vice City sends you into the past as Tommy Vercetti. Originally from Liberty City, he is sent to Vice City after his release from prison. While in Vice City, he is given the task of completing a deal for another mafia family. The deal breaks down when Tommy is ambushed and has to find out who was behind the attack that took the money and goods back.
The main plot of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City requires you to follow Tommy’s story, but various side missions add other short plot lines to the story. During the game, you will need different sets of skills on different missions, but will eventually end in someone’s death.
Originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2002, Grand Theft Auto Vice City’s 2012 highlights the game’s 10th-anniversary release on mobile. Visuals in the game were updated with improved character models and additional lighting effects. Grand Theft Auto Vice City is more elaborate than the original release, but humanoid character models still exist.
The world is similar to the original release of Vice City showing the Miami influence. Expect a lot of bright colors, art deco architecture, and many different types of vehicles from the 1980s. Of course, they do not use real car brands, but they are recognizable.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City includes effects such as vehicle damage, blood splatter, and destructive environments. For re-releases, the game is good for other mobile games, but not current console titles.
If you played Grand Theft Auto: Vice City before, there aren’t going to be many surprises; But small enhancements create a better representation of the game world.
As a sandbox game, you are given the freedom to do anything. Progressing through the mission gives you the ability to buy better weapons, along with new areas in Vice City. The game incorporates the same storyline as the original and includes several hours of voiceover work that makes Grand Theft Auto Vice City feel alive.
The missions are not linear so you can take them in any order you choose, but the storyline of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will only open a few missions at a time, so you will eventually be able to get all of them for a specific plot before moving on. Missions have to be completed. But you can always take a break and drive around Vice City.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City lacks a physical controller under control. Although they are more precise than the Grand Theft Auto III, using a virtual joystick is still unreliable and takes time to use the on-screen buttons for various controls. One of the problems is that the buttons are so close together, you might end up instead of attacking.
Foot-sections work well for travel, but in combat, it is one of the most frustrating parts of the game. You can tap on a person to do a manual lock or the game will lock on the closest person. But when you’re trying to aim for an object in the environment, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City struggles to understand what you’re aiming for.
There is the same problem with driving. Most of the time, it feels like you are driving on ice in any car. When you are driving slowly you still hit other cars and get out. Handling is loose and sharp turns are impossible. Grand Theft Auto: Motorcycles in Vice City actually perform better, but you are much more vulnerable to attack.
Even though the content of Grand Theft Auto Vice City is still amazing, the controls make everything frustrating and more difficult than necessary.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has an amazing amount of professional voice acting and the same huge library of music from the 80s with Rockstar’s hilarious radio commercials. The characters are memorable because so many voice actors give their best to animate characters in the game. Vice music plays a big part in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and the number of songs you are listening to vary depending on their radio station. On iOS, you can use custom iTunes playlists to play your own music.
Secondary sounds such as short character speech or environmental noise are present, making each moment in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City a memorable experience.
Still a classic
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is an amazing game for mobile. It brings back the original game from 2002 and presents it to the fullest with improved graphics, great music and professional voice acting. All of this comes at a cost, although the game is huge. With 1 GB download, you will need a new device to play the game.
The contents of Grand Theft Auto Vice City are amazing, but the game is still held back by incredible controls that disappoint.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a must-see for fans of the series, but its control diminished it.
